Hold up a £20 note and ask the children who would like it? Hands will shoot up right away.

Say: I am going to give this to one of you, but first, let me do this. Proceed to crumple the £20 note up.  Then ask, who still wants it? Still the hands will stay up in the air. What if I do this? Drop the bank note on the ground, and start to grind it into the floor with your shoe. Pick up the now crumpled and dirty £20 note.

Now, who still wants it?

No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it, because, it did not decrease in value. It was still worth 20 Pounds. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel that we are worthless.

But, no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value, dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who love you and priceless to God. He cares for us and loves us very much. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do, but by who we are. You are special. Don’t ever forget it!!
