The Dance of God, the Trinity and Someone You Loved by the Piano Guys, featuring Charity and Andres (from World of Dance).
This isn’t a thought out idea but I’ve been really drawn to this video by The Piano Guys featuring Charity and Andres from World of Dance. For me, the movement, connection and synchronicity between the dancers, the musicians and the music reflects a picture of God.
It echos too the dance that God invites each of us to participate in. An invitation to follow in the way of God. To move in time with peace, love and forgiveness.
I like that it doesn’t have any words yet it still speaks powerfully.
I’m reminded of some things C. S Lewis wrote about…
“When early Greek Christians spoke of perichoresis in God they meant that each divine person harbors the others at the center of his being.”
“In Christianity God is not an impersonal thing nor a static thing – not even just one person – but a dynamic pulsating activity, a life, a kind of drama, almost, if you will not think me irreverent, a kind of dance . . . [The] pattern of this three-personal life is . . . the great fountain of energy and beauty spurting up at the very center of reality.”
I’d be interested to hear how people might incorporate it into groups or a worship setting. Leave a comment below with some suggestions.
